If your one of the 14% of U.S citizens that are considered illiterate or know someone, Inspire Your Child wants to help by providing some resources.

First step- From the research we've done contacting the National Institute of literacy or the U.S department of education maybe able to help or provide resources in your area.

Step two: Go to your local library. More often than not librarians want to help everyone learn about books. The library has resources available for adults to learn to read without starting with children's books.

Tip: If you're an adult suffering from illiteracy or know someone who does, a simple thing you can do is ask for help or give help. Find someone you trust and start the process of getting the help you deserve. Reading helps with job productivity, mental health and social skills.

If you are a business owner and have an employee that you think may need your help with literacy issues, I would implore you to spend the extra time and money to help them. It could change someone’s quality of life and as a business owner I can’t think of anything better.
